Call of Duty is a video game franchise for the first-person shooter released by Activision. Starting in 2003, it focused on World War II video games. Over time, however, the series has also focused on the Cold War, futuristic worlds, and outer space.
Infinity Ward first developed the games, then Treyarch and Sledgehammer Games too. Other developers have made some spin-offs and mobile games. On October 25th, 2019, the most recent title, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare was released.
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is the fourth major series installment, and was created by Infinity Ward. It's the first game in the series to take place in a modern setting. The game was released on November 7th, 2007, for Microsoft Windows, Nintendo DS, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. In September 2008, Aspyr launched Download and Retail versions for Mac OS X.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019) came out as a reboot to the original that was released in 2007. This game was released for PS4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows, and it has lots of new features and updates that add some flare to the classic multiplayer game.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has implemented a new method of multiplayer advancement. As you progress through these levels, you will begin to unlock the basics, such as killstreaks, additional load-outs, and field upgrades. You will eventually gain access to custom load-outs, and new weapons, equipment, perks, and skins will become yours.
How to Get More XP
Leveling up requires XP, and you will earn it through multiplayer matches, operations, and missions from Spec Ops.
Here are the steps you need to know to acquire more XP to level up.
- Complete: Multiplayer Matches, Spec Ops Missions, and Operations.
- Daily Challenges: Brief goals that can be achieved in a single session of play. Gives boosts to XP.
- Challenge Missions: These are multi-step goals that can be achieved with XP bonuses and special rewards. You need to head up to the Barracks Menu to activate them.
- Weapon Camo Challenges: Unlocking base and sub camos by using weapons in gameplay. Offer bonuses to XP, too.
Ranking up can be a challenging multiplayer task considering the large maps and long game times. However, you can easily rank up by selecting objective game modes like Cyber Attack, Domination, or Headquarters. These game modes award high amounts of XP.
Players might rank up by playing Search and Destroy since each round has an objective, and players are rewarded with more XP for each elimination. But this removes the fast-paced feature of gunplay and respawn, which is available in other game modes.
Higher Levels You Can Achieve
As with the last title, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, Modern Warfare multiplayer has a maximum level cap of 55. Players will attain the Juggernaut streak, and then upgrade to the Weapon Drop field once completed.
Players at 54 unlock the MP7 submachine gun, which is one of the game's most deadly weapons. You'll hit a new level named Officer Rank 1 after level 55. This will give you 100 new levels to advance, replacing the original prestige Call of Duty system.
