Fortnite: How to Earn XP and Level Up Quickly

Fortnite XP, or Experience Points, is a form of Fortnite progression. Get enough XP, and you'll be leveling up easily and getting Combat Stars every time. XP is also used to unlock additional styles, such as Drift and Ragnarok, as well as for certain skins.

Although the primary way to gain XP is to play matches, the way you play, and additional considerations like the Battle Pass, means specific ways to get XP to level up quickly are more comfortably than others.

You need to gain as much XP as you possibly can to level up quickly on Fortnite. You only gain XP for playing the game, with more being awarded depending on your match results.

There are specific challenges to complete along with medals that are a useful boost if you do not focus on particular problems.

While there are really no cheap shortcuts on Fortnite to level up quickly other than putting in the hours, you can earn extra XP and speed up your progress.

On Fortnite, there are two types of advancement: XP levels and Combat Pass Ranks.

Though when you unlock things, the Battle Pass dictates, XP helps you progress through the Battle Pass faster. Get enough XP, and you'll level up which level gives you Battle Stars each level (usually two or five each level).

The primary way to get XP is through match play.

Earning XP to Level Up Quickly

Complete Challenges on a Regular Basis

You are given a new challenge every day, and you can have up to a maximum of three at any time. They can range from catching items while fishing to finding chests at a specific location and so much more. Plus, every time you complete each one, you receive a substantial amount of XP.

Even if that day you can not complete the challenge, make sure you're at least logging in to collect or check out which ones you've been assigned that day. Fortnite is now available on iOS, Nintendo Switch, and Android, so there's practically no reason you can't just open the game once a day to collect the challenge and then complete it later.

Play With Friends Through Party Assist

If there is a particular challenge that you really struggle to complete, enlist some friends' help. The Party Assist function means you can get your squad to help you with a particular challenge, so you'll also get it done once they complete it. For example, if you can't get enough kills or find enough drops in the supply, turn this on, and your entire group's progress will count against it.

Earn Medals

The medals introduced at the beginning of Chapter 2, are small gameplay achievements that you can earn while playing. There are many tasks that you can complete to start decking out your punchcard, from surviving longer in the match to making kills and chest searching.

Your punchcard will reset every day so you can max it out and earn a tremendous amount of XP on top of all the daily and weekly challenges you're completing, as long as you keep playing every day. You are going to cross-tier 100 in no time if you do this!

Be Sure to Play During Double XP Events

Occasionally Fortnite holds the Double XP games, where all Match XP is multiplied. They're pretty uncommon, though.

Season 4 had an event confirmed just a few days in advance towards the latter end of the season. If you can be around for it, and get some Battle Pass-owning mates to play with you, then it's a great way to get a fast dose of XP.
