CD Freaks presents a preview of the Pioneer DVR-112D DVD Burner

Back in March, our senior reviewer Wendy Collins carried out an in-depth review of the DVR-112, which was given the editor's choice award for its excellent write performance.  As many may have noticed, Pioneer also has a DVR-112D out, which is like the DVR-112 apart from its DVD-RAM support being read-only.  Well, for those who are wondering if there are any other differences and whether the DVR-112D matches the performance and quality of the DVR-112, our reviewer Wendy Collins has carried out a preview of the DVR-112D, which Pioneer kindly provided us for review.

For those who are new to this model, it features up to 18x DVD±R, 10x DVD±R DL, 8x DVD+RW, 6x DVD-RW, 40x CD-R and 32x CD-RW write performance.  The drive's interface is Ultra ATA 66 (UDMA Mode 4).  Detailed specifications can be viewed on the introduction page of the review.

To see how well this drive performs and how well it performs through its read, write and disc quality tests, which covers a variety of different CD and DVD formats, please head over to the preview here.  After having a look, feel free to comment on the review in this dedicated forum thread for the preview.
