Creative CDRW Blaster 121032

T-Break has an intresting review of the CDRW Blaster 121032.

Features:

As the '121032" name suggest, this CDRW writes data at 12X, rewrites data at 10X and reads it at 32X. It's got all the features that we're used to in a CDRW, plus a couple of new ones called CD-TEXT and 'BURN-Proof Technology"

CD-TEXT is the latest extension of Standard Audio CD which contains additional information like the title of the album, the name of the artist and the song title. Newer generation of Audio CD players can display this information. This saves a lot of time involved in programming your CD-player with your CD titles and track info.

BURN-Proof stands for Buffer Under RuN proof. Buffer under run errors have produced a lot of coasters for me in the past so I was really looking forward to this new technology. To give you a brief overview, this happens when your PC cannot deliver data fast enough to the CDRW while recording the CD and the reasons for this can be a slow PC, multi-tasking, network access etc. With BURN-Proof technology, you continue doing all your multi-tasking without worrying about producing a coaster.

As you can see the speed of the (re-)writers keeps growing... What will be next? CD burning as quick as your normal HD speed?
