Microsoft works with Apple on iCloud issue that prevents installation of October 2018 update

Microsoft and Apple are working together on an issue that prevents Windows 10 users with iCloud for Windows from installing the Windows 10 October 2018 Update. The update is blocked for those users because iCloud is not compatible with the Windows 10 October Update.

On a page on its website, Microsoft provides additional details on the issue. On the page, Microsoft explains that it works with Apple on releasing a compatible version of iCloud. It's unclear when the two tech giants expect to have fixed the issues.

Due to the iCloud issues, photo albums are not correctly updated and synchronized on computers with the Windows 10 October 2018 Update installed.

Windows users who have iCloud installed, will not get the Windows 10 October 2018 Update pushed to their system. Those users could manually download and install the October update, but Microsoft strongly advises against that.

Users with the October Update already installed and who try to install iCloud for Windows, will be unable to do so and receive a notification stating that the software is incompatible.
