SanDisk today announced the SanDisk Extreme PRO SDHC/SDXC UHS-II card which it claims is the world’s fastest SD memory card. The card offers up to 250MB/s write speeds and transfer speeds of up to 280MB/s and sustained video capture of 30MB/s. The SanDisk Extreme PRO SD UHS-II card is UHS Speed Class 3 (U3) enabled, a new specification allowing for high-quality 4K video recording.
The memory cards are tested for durability under extreme temperature conditions and Sandisk provides a lifetime limited warranty. Thy also comes with a one-year downloadable offer for RescuePRO Deluxe media recovery software.
Besides the card, SanDisk also announced their Extreme PRO SD UHS-II Card Reader/Writer today. This reader/writer features a USB 3.0 interface and can be used to read and write to both SDHC and SDXC UHS-II memory cards.
The new SanDisk Extreme PRO SDHC/SDXC memory cards become available worldwide in April in 16GB to 64GB capacities carrying MSRPs of $119.99 to $299.99. The card reader/writer also become worldwide available in April at an MSRP of $49.99.
