Chinese website leaks Windows 10 build 10102 screenshots, introduces 3D effects on live tiles

The Chinese website ITHome has leaked several screenshots of  Windows 10 Technical Preview build 10102 which is not officially available (yet). The new build appears to mainly bring new visual enhancements such as a different transparency for the start menu, new design items for Cortana and 3D effects on the Live Tiles.

The 3D effect on Live Tiles is demonstrated in the animated image below. When information on the Tile is changed it shows a rolling effect, previously the animation was a sliding effect from top to bottom.

Also Cortana has a new look, settings of Microsoft's digital assistant appear on the left-side and can now be accessed using a so-called "Hamburger" icon, which is also often used on mobile websites. myce-windows-10-cortana1

When the Hamburger icon is clicked the settings slide in.

Microsoft has also added the Modern look to the volume control, in previously build the volume control was vertically oriented and still contained some slight 3D effects. The new volume control is consistent with the entire flat Windows 10 black and white design.

Also the start menu has been changed in build 10102, Microsoft has added blur to the transparency in the build. In the latest officially released Windows 10 Technical Preview build (10061) the opacity of the start menu was very low and close to black. ITHome argues the new transparency effect looks like "frosted glass".
