Kingston today announced special edition SSDs developed in collaboration with the Ukrainian gaming team Natus Vincere (Na 'Vi - Born to win) . Kingston is a sponsor of the team that won some large tournaments on Counter-Strike and DotA 1 and 2.
The collaboration seems to be mainly on the outside of the drive, we couldn't spot any differences with regular HyperX drives on the inside. Kingston HyperX 3K drives use a SF-2281 controller and connect to the computer using the SATA-3 interface. Specified read and write speeds are respectively 555 and 510 MB/s and Kingston targets the drives to gamers and enthusiasts who want maximum performance. Drives are available in capacities of 120 and 240 GB.
