Microsoft offers another 100GB OneDrive bonus - this time for DropBox users

Microsoft gives Dropbox users 100GB additional storage space on OneDrive. The bonus space will be valid for one year. Yesterday we reported how Microsoft offers 100GB additional storage for 2 years by subscribing to Bing Rewards.

In order to receive the 100GB bonus, users have to click a link which connects them to their Dropbox account. Once connected and with your permission, a "Getting Started with OneDrive" document is automatically added to Dropbox. Uusers also have to agree to receive promotional e-mails from Microsoft.

When all steps are completed the 100GB bonus storage, valid for 1 year, is added to the OneDrive account. After the year the bonus storage space is deducted from the account. Users who consume more storage space than they have available after the bonus period ends won't be able to upload new files until they’ve deleted enough files to be below their limit.

The bonus storage offer should convince users to switch from Dropbox to OneDrive.

The default free storage on Dropbox is 2GB but can be extended. OneDrive starts with a free 15GB. Yesterday new subscribers to Bing Rewards could add an additional 100GB that's valid for 2 years. Users who subscribe to Bing Rewards and connect their Dropbox account will have an additional 200GB for at least one year.
