Microsoft: Users more happy with Windows 10 than with prior versions of Windows

Microsoft today announced that more than 200 million devices run on Windows 10. Users mainly switch because users want the 'most secure and fastest' Windows, according to the software giant. Users are also more happy with the OS than previous versions of Windows.

The install base of the new operating system increases 140% faster than Windows 7 and almost 400% faster than Windows 8.

The OS is not only popular with consumers. According to Microsoft about 76% of its business customers is testing Windows 10 and more than 22 million devices with Windows 10 are running in companies and educational institutions.

Windows 10 contains several new security measures such as Device Guard which allows organisation to protect systems against several threats. Microsoft's latest operating system also supports biometric login and business users can also use 'Microsoft Passport' which makes it possible to login to accounts without a password. Other security measures of Windows 10 are the default disk encryption if an user logs in with a Microsoft account and the computer contains a Trusted Platform Module (TPM).

Microsoft also reports that it sees ' significantly higher customer satisfaction' with Windows 10 than any prior version of Windows. Also Bing profits from the new Windows version, Microsoft reports around 30% more Bing search queries per Windows 10 device vs. prior versions of Windows.
