PlayStation 3 owners will miss out on 3D Blu-ray movies in the console's next firmware update.
The PlayStation 3 is set to gain 3D functionality as part of a June firmware update, although Sony has confirmed this will only support 3D gaming and not 3D Blu-ray movies. PlayStation 3 Blu-ray 3D features are expected to come later in the year.
The lineup of 3D PlayStation 3 games will initially include Wipeout HD, Motorstorm: Pacific Rift, PAIN, and Super Stardust HD. Other likely titles include Killzone 2, LittleBigPlanet, and Gran Turismo 5.
