We at CDFreaks would like to present a preview of the latest DVD-ReWriter from Memorex, the Memorex MRX-525G. The Memorex MRX-525G supports 18x DVD±R, 8x/6x DVD+RW/DVD-RW, 2x/3x/5x/12x DVD-RAM and 8x DVD+R DL/DVD-R DL writing technology, allowing Double/Dual Layer discs of 8.5Gb to be written.

The drive comes with great looking two tone bezel (Black and Silver) giving it a sleek design that includes a few logos, a single green colored LED (we prefer different LED colors to distinguish between reading and writing operations), an emergency eject hole and an eject button. The logos located on the tray include the Memorex logo a DVD Forum DVD-Multi Recorder logo, a DVD Alliance DVD+R DL logo, and a CD-RW Ultra Speed logo.

On the topside, we found one sticker and we can read it was made in China – December 2006.
On the back of the drive there are from the left: digital Audio connector; analogue audio connector; pins and jumper to set the drive to cable select, slave or master; IDE connector and the power connector.
