BinOptics Corporation, an emerging leader in integrated microphotonic chips, announced the expansion of its laser product line and acceleration of Blue Laser development effort thanks to new funds received by its new investor, STIC International.
According to Alex Behfar, CEO of BinOptics,
'The demand for competitively priced lasers that can operate reliably at high temperatures, speeds, and powers is now growing at a rapid rate on a world-wide basis for a variety of applications'
Another manufacturer entering in the blue lasers production market should be a good thing for end-consumers, because more availability of components should help to reduce prices of next generation standalone players.
Now we must only wait for the first hybrid player to be released 😉
