Two days ago we launched a new version of our website, dubbed CD Freaks v2.0. Together with the launch we are also giving away products worth over $25,000. We received an enormous amount of feedback on this and some of you thought it was too difficult. In order to make it easier and more fun for everyone, we reduced the amount of questions and we now give you some hints. This should make it more fun for everyone and give everyone the opportunity to win a prize; we think there is no easier way to win free software, CD and DVD recordables, DVD burners and recorders.

Besides that, we were overwhelmed with responses on our new layout. We've been reading all of them and it's clear to us that we have to work hard to satisfy all our long time visitors. Our visitors are where our site is all about and we will use your feedback, comments and suggestions to make improvements to our site. We already have some ideas that should solve many issues.
One of the major issues is that we are currently working on improving the code of the website to make it run faster. CD Freaks receives thousands of visitors every day and it's hard to test this other than doing a real life test, as we did. We are now optimizing our code and database to ensure a lightning fast CD Freaks now and in the future. This is also the cause that we currently have less newsposts and updates.
Another issue we have addressed is the popup advertising some people were complaining about. It was never our intention to bring popup advertisements back to our site and as soon as we found the source of the popup advertisements we have removed them.
