CDFreaks takes a First Look at the NEC ND-3540A DVD burner . This is one of the first available drives to support 8x writing on DVD+R Double Layer media. The ND-3540A improves many reading & writing specifications compared to previous NEC models. PIE/PIF Disc Quality scanning is also available via CD-DVD Speed, which is a very popular feature utilized by our community members.
The NEC ND-3540A uses Z-CLV, (Zone-Constant Linear Velocity) to write DVD+R9 DL at 8x. Three zones are used to write DVD+R Double Layer discs at 8x. The average speed is 6.54x and total writing time is 18:31 minutes. |
