CMC magnets and Ritek two of the top optical disc manufacturers in Taiwan have reported their earnings for the 3rd quarter ending October 31st. CMC posted earns per share of NT$0.096 and ritek posted a disappointing -NT$0.42 for the third quarter.
CMC recorded a huge boost in profit for 3rd quarter with gross margin of 14.77% and operating profit of NT$538.1 (US$16.2million) CMC profits were much higher than the 9.27% and NT$151.3million for the entire first part of the year.
On the other hand Ritek has suffered operating losses along with non operating investments.
