Well, Clone 3.0 is delayed, but not indefinately.

Things didn't work out as well as it was planned, and it looks like, that the planned feature set has to be cut dramatically.

A major delay was the new ElbyCDIO system from Clone 3.x, which already shipped with Clone 2.8.x.x as a "real life test". Well, this caused a lot of problems...

I had to spend a huge amount of time on these modules, but I can say now, that they are "rock solid".

The status is, that on-the-fly copy doesn't work reliable yet, .ISO, .CUE .BIN images can't be read and written yet (which was planned for 3.0).

The verify options is unreliable, and the new Audio jitter correction makes more jitter than it corrects.

I am also pretty unhappy with the new Clone 3.0 UI. It is very different from 2.0, easier to use for novice users, but requires more mouse movements and clicks for experienced users. OTOH the new UI is also designed, that it can completely be controlled by the keyboard, without touching the mouse. This is not only good for experienced users, but for blind people as well.

The basic functions work very well, but they work pretty good in 2.8.3.1 already.

Maybe I can release a "2.9" version this year (which is a 3.0 with everything not working reliable disabled, but based on the 3.0 source tree) and enabling the other parts later. But I want at least on the fly copy to work safely before doing this. Otherwise it doesn't make much sense.

More info when available!
