Recently has been introduced in the market hybrid hard disc drives (HDD) containing a flash memory to make discs faster. DTS announced a new category of drive, formerly known as the MCell Drive, the Platinum HDD. This drive combines 1GB of SDRAM cache with up to 200GB of conventional storage.
