This drive has an active fan inside, cause DVD burning is not cool!
Pioneer will drop Instant write by VOB in the package.
But Prassi Primo-DVD 2.0(no problems) or WinonCD DVD(not tested) will work also.
Ok, can i copy my dvd videos then?
Sure, but first you have to rip them to disc (with e.g.smartripper).
Writing a DVD needs ~7minutes/gigabyte incl.fixing with this drive (tested).
Ok, can i copy TL/CB or any other warez dvd?
Sure, no problem, works! You can make your own online warez shop then
and sell copies! (and of course get busted like all the other
'start up companies'...)
cool,uh?
This drive is a cool thing, you can do almost everything with it,
copy dvd videos, dvd roms (singe layer 4.7gb = DVD-5) and the
cd stuff is also supported! So ask your dad for the US$900 and he
will be glad to buy you that drive !
