Wondering what it is? Let me refresh your memory: ECCRegen is a tool for regenerating the EDC and ECC fields of CD-ROM sectors. It is designed to work only on Playstation CD-ROMs. With EDC (Error Detecting Code) we can discover reading errors in the DATA field and with ECC (Error Correcting Code) we can rebuild corrected datas.
Let's see what's new in this version:
- Support for mode 1 image format.
- Support for mode 2 form 2 sector format.
- Autodetection of image format.
- Support for CloneCD image format (not tested).
- Multiple selection of sectors (via shift+click or ctrl+click).
- 'Check selected" and 'Uncheck selected" commands.
- Implemented secure scanning (check both EDC and ECC).
- Added automatic installer and uninstaller (Inno Setup).
