According to this quick DigiTimes report, Hewlett-Packard has started bundling a HD DVD-ROM drive with its D4655y series of desktop PCs for a small premium of US$99. This drive is a reader only and will also read DVD media. It is unclear at this time if this drive is an internal drive or what the specifications are.
This is not the first line of PCs HP has bundled HD DVD with as they have bundled its m7690n desktop and its dv9060us laptop models both with HD DVD-ROM drives, which were made available to the market in November. Just recently, HP also announced an external USB 2.4x HD DVD-ROM drive, which is due for launch before the end of December.
