IDSA On the Offensive

The Interactive Digital Software Association, which is made up of 13 computer and videogame companies, has filed lawsuits against six people who are believed to be operating an Internet piracy ring.

Fines for the accused could reach as high as $150,000 for every copyrighted pirated work. IDSA president Douglas Lowenstein stated the goal of the lawsuits, ""We intend to stop these activities and to send a message to operators of similar sites offering illegal copies of entertainment software that this conduct will not be tolerated."
