Iriver's aggressive re-enter of US market

Iriver has just announced the introduction of a new MP3 player for the US market. This makes this move the company's first announcement for the American market in 2008. The E100 MP3 player is priced at $109,99 for the 4GB version and $159,99 for the 8GB version. The company's newest device delivers FM radio, a colourful TFT-screen and Stereo Speakers.

The E100 can handle many music and video formats and is compatible with services like Napster and Yahoo. A total of 17 hours of music and five hours of video can be played back on the MP3 player's 8GB version. Besides offering several features you can also look smooth when walking around with a black, white, sky blue or pink E100. Iriver believes that their 2.4" TFT-screen provides the right quality to watch videos and they hope their agressive re-entry of the American market will work.

“Iriver is reinventing itself, and the E100 is the first offering in our aggressive re-entry into the U.S. market. With the sleek, signature Iriver design, loads of features, and an affordable price point, consumers have an exciting new option, and can really have it all with the E100,” said Sean Oh, head of US operations for Iriver.

Being aggressive seems to be the way to enter markets and economies these days.
