According to Digitimes, Nichia and Sony, and recently also Sharp, will increase Blu-ray laser pickup production to face the increasing request of next generation optical drives.
This increase in production will reduce the possible shortage of blue laser diodes announced previously this year.
I hope that this will traslate also in a reduction of prices 😉
