According to a news published at Tech-On, Pioneer USA will release in May 2007 (currently in the USA market only) the BDP-94HD Blu-ray Disc player.
With a price of $1,000 (about €740), this drive is more "affordable" than the BDP-HD1 player, but according to Tech-On, both standalones have pretty similar features.
Compared to the previous drive, however, the new BDP-94HD is able play CDs.
