Movie industry sees rebound from tough 2000

Finally, Valenti said several movie studios are experimenting with distributing movies into homes directly via the Internet and that within four to six months at least three companies and maybe more will begin doing so.

Downloading movies brings up the issue of the type of copyright infringement that has plagued the record industry via Web sites like Napster (news - web sites). Valenti said piracy is one of the most critical issues facing the industry and one which the MPAA will continue to battle.

First they take away our MP3's, now it's the time for the movies ?
