About 68 companies in the VS have been 'hit" with the Naked Wife virus. The virus is sent as an email and promises to show some picture of a naked woman. When you open the attachment which is suppose to contain the picture, the script destroys some important system files and emails itself to all the contacts in Outlook's address book. The virus is about the same as the Kournikova and I love you virus.
What the virus does: it destroys files with the .dll, .ini, .exe, .bmp, and .com extensions. Well all you have to do is reinstall your OS but I guess not everybody is too happy with that (escpecially for the ppl who don't know how to..).
It seems that the biggest part of the virus has been destroyed. Because it ain't some advanced virus (script) it wasn't that hard to build a cleaning method (Symantac did it..).

Het virus lijkt echter alweer over zijn hoogtepunt heen. "Het virus is in de kiem gesmoord", aldus André Post van het Symantec Antivirus Resource Center (SARC). Volgens Post zijn er ongeveer duizend computers geé¯nfecteerd. "Het virus dook voor het eerst dinsdag in de namiddag op. Binnen een half uur hadden we de updates tegen het virus beschikbaar. Het is niet zo'n technisch geavanceerd virus."
In my opinion: don't use Outlook is sux anyway! Outlook's protection and safety is lousy....
