Since Napster activated their filters about 2 days ago the number of people using Napster has decreased immensely. The downloads decreased with about 50%. Also the numer of shared songs per user decreased with about 59%. It seems like the record companies and the judges are getting it like they wanted.
It's still possible to find copyrighted songs on Napster, but it ain't easy and it won't last for long. The easiest way is making use of misspellings such as Madona and Britnie Spiers…
Well that about Napster. Because we still got WinMX, Imesh, Kazaa, Gnutella etc wich don't use any filters (and some'll probably never do) we can still download anything we want to..
In Holland the NIPO did some reasearch. They concluded that just a really small part (12%) of the Dutch ppl have moral problems with downloading music for free and 60% thinks there's nothing wrong with it (I agree ). About 46% thinks that the free downloading of music will keep increasing…..
