New Toshiba Gigabeat Series X30

Toshiba announced today
another Gigabeat player, with a 30GB hard disk. This player manages to be 20%
smaller than it's previous generation, F Series, and features a screen with a
resolution of 240 x 320.  It plays MP3, WMA and WAV files, and also
supports USB Mass Storage class, making file transfers easier.

On the photo side, we don't see many improvements.
The abilities to read JPEG with EXIF information, slideshow support
and automatic photo album creation, are present. The traditional
lithium-ion battery provides a 16 hour battery life, which is quite low compared
to some other new players.

The Gigabeat X30 is set to retail for around 37,000
yen (~$332) and will be available in Piano Black, Pure White and Crimson Red in
Japan, on October 22.
