Océ fires 3 employees for selling pirated cd's...

copyshop used our newssubmit to tell us the following story...

Océ has fired 3 employees because they were selling illegal CD's under worktime.

An anonymous note reaches the direction of Océ Technology BV from Venlo. The note says some employees have set up a company which sells illegal cd's and video's. Parfum is also available they say. They investigated this note and fired the workers.

One of the people is Bert P. He has been home since the end of last year. He denies everything they say about him. He doesn't know anything about illegal cd's. Ofcourse he does copy a CD from time to time, but only for personal use. He is not the man who has been selling CD's on the workfloor of Océ he says.

Océ denies this and says they have evidence. They found around 100 cd covers, and some programs on his PC which are not needed for the job.

Bert P. is his way says he has printed the covers for Océ and has authorization for this. From time to time students visit the Océ company, and to show how these machines work he occasionally copies covers, labels or cards.

Now the court will decide if Océ is right. Well... don't copy/print covers @ work! It's not worth losing your job for..
