Alot of rumors are still floating around on the net considering the Ps2 modchip.
As far as we could confirm the current status is this :
There is a working modchip for sale for the Usa and Pal Ps2. The one that is for sale at
www.modchip.com should work. The thing the modchip does is this:
After you have installed the modchip correctly, you boot up with an orginal disc.
Then, the modchip gives a command to the Ps2 to open up the cd-player.
You swap the original with a backup, and it should work.
This is the story that i heard from a reliable source, still we haven't tested it ourselfs.
