This is what a Belgian paper wrote on 23/08: Napster is going to talk with some companies in the music industrie about a new way of bringing mp3's on the net for download. Napster wants to make a arangement where they pay some autor's fees. But it is not napster who's paying those fees, but the people, like you and me, who are downing mp3's. In future it could be that whe pay per song (like 1 or 2 dollar). |
Personally, I think that 2 dollar is quite a bit for only one song, so if this is the way it's going to be, then there is a nice future for ftp sites and all those napster-lookalikes.
