Piracy wins! CDs get cheaper!

Okey don't be to enthusiastic because it's probably not where you live, but only in Malaysia.

Cheaper CD's vs. piracy

In Malaysia cd's and cassettes become much cheaper. This because of the major illegal copies made in Malaysia. The big music companies would choose Malaysia as the first market to do the only thing what's right: an answer to priracy which is (partly) the consequence of the huge prices of cd's.

The price for a CD in malaysia is now around the Hfl 25 (euro 11,34). Starting tomorrow the price will be around Hfl 12,50 (euro 5,67) !!

Mainly in Asia piracy of software and music is widespread in the community. With this deprication of price they hope consumers will choose for the original CD again. Also the government is busy with measures to hold the piracy.

Djeez!! I live in holland and prices are around Hfl 45 (euro 20,42) here !!! If cd's would be Hfl 12,50 (euro 5,67) like in malaysia I personally would buy ALL cd's legal! What do you think?
