Yesterday we reported about a program to record ASF streams, several people requested a program that will do the same for Real Audio Files. stvasta (Thanks!) mailed us with the solution:
at the risk of seeming ridiculous, i decided to email this to you as opposed to posting it. i do not want to conflict with the success of the asf stream recorder. as well, everybody might know about this already. i want you to know i emailing this before trying what i just downloaded & i have nothing to do with the authorship of this program. it is just that I have been searching for this program for at least a year. I finally found 2 links on it & downloaded the now distributed software. not that anyone else would want it - & further, i read so much riudiculous psots, i felt it better to let you decide if cdfreaks needs this info. btw, cdfreaks is my homepage - the sight absolutely rules...anywaze.... the program is streambox vcr. it was x file get & then was supposed to come out but streambox was sued. apparently its the same thing as the asf recorder, but handles real audio/video. there are some really cool live concerts available in real format - i suppose with the ripper, one can easily cut a cd of the material for personal listening. mind you, it would be quite lo-fi, but then again, thats ok if its the only way to get these 2 hour concerts on to a persoanl cd. again, i havent tried it...but i cant imagine it not working. here are the links -you decide if many should see this - i think they should but i can be very wrong: |
