Interested consumers have known about a Sony Ericsson Google Android mobile phone that is currently in development, but specific details about the phone have remained under wraps by Sony Ericsson and Google.
Sony Ericsson's phone, code named Rachael, was found on a Danish web site that reportedly provided legitimate images of the new phone.

The Mobil article indicates the phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snap Dragon QSD8250, offering a CPU speed up to 1GHz and HSPA downlink speeds of 7.2Mbit per second, though it's unknown if the phone will have specs quite that high. It also has a built-in 8-megapixel camera, mini-USB connection, and a touch screen likely with 800 x 480 resolution.
An 8-megapixel camera would be interesting, as it'd offer the most megapixels out of any Android handset, and is significantly more than the 3-megapixel Apple iPhone 3GS camera.
Although we're going to have to wait for Sony Ericsson's official specifications, the European article offers a great insight into what could be a solid touchscreen phone offering from Sony Ericsson.
The number of supporters and phone manufacturers expected to release Android-based mobile phones is expected to increase over the next 12 months. Furthermore, it became obvious Sony Ericsson had interest in Android when the company joined the Google-led Open Handset Alliance group last December.
