Looks
like Sony is still pumping out more new products. This time they decided to
enhance their mini disc lineup with more choices for the consumer.
Accucore, a Sony developed technology designed to improve DVD media performance, was introduced to its 12cm DVD line up in January this year. From April, a version of Accucore for DVD camcorder users will be available with both 8 cm DVD-R, -RW media and a line-up of 8cm DVD+RW media. The 8cm DVD Accucore Scratch Guard provides a protective scratch resistant layer to help combat disc damage as a result of manipulations, ejections and insertions of the disc. |
The article goes on to say the advantage
with the +RW discs is there isn't a need for
the finalisation process that is required in other formats. This feature negates
the waiting time before home movies can be played back on DVD players and
other playback devices.
