A solution for pirating?

A Lawrence (Kansas, USA) software company is marketing a new program aimed at making software pirates pay if they want to use illegal copies of software.

"The industry has tolerated piracy for too long," said Bennett Griffin, president of Griffin Technologies. "It has become something that the industry expects and has included in their cost of doing business."

The new software product, called Wibu-Key, gives customers a "key" that allows them to use the software without penalizing them for previously "sharing" the software. Unauthorized copies won't have the key and won't be usable.

Griffin Technologies has a report, "Amnesty for Pirates -- A New Profit Center for Your Company." Copies are available by e-mail by sending a request (with name, company name, address, phone number, fax number and e-mail address) to Roni Bregman at rbregman@griftech.com.

UHmmmmmmmmm someone explain it to me :-0
