Web security firm detects illegal napster users...

Some firm specialized in finding illegal napster users (and other p2p networks) :r have send an e-mail to napster with over a million users having songs from Roy Orbison (never heard of the guy )

A Web security firm has identified more than 1 million Napster-enabled copyright violations of music by Texas balladeer Roy Orbison, leading the file-swapping service to block violators' accounts until the songs are removed.

Copyright.net said today that it notified Napster by e-mail of 1,001,082 violations, and that the file-sharing service blocked accounts of violators to allow Orbison songs to be removed.

Orbison, who died at 52 in 1988, started out as a rockabilly singer in the 1950s to become one of the premiere pop artists ever. "Oh, Pretty Woman" and "Runnin' Scared" are among Orbison's hits.

The Nashville, Tenn.-based company makes software that scans peer-to-peer networks and other online environments to find copyrighted works and launch enforcement action under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

Once the copyrighted music is removed from a user's hard drive, Copyright.net offers to help reinstate their Napster accounts, the company said.

So they ask napster to shut them down, so the users can delete the illegal songs. But after that they do their best to help you get your napster account back
